What is a CTF?
A Capture The Flag (CTF) is a cybersecurity competition where you solve challenges
to find hidden “flags” (secret strings) and submit them for points.
Do I need experience to join?
Nope! We include beginner friendly challenges.
When can I register?
Registration for the CTF platform will become available one week before the event.
Can I compete alone?
Yes. You may play solo or form a team of up to 4 players.
What tools should I prepare?
A laptop is enough. Useful tools include browser devtools, Python,
Burp Suite, Ghidra, and gdb + pwntools.
Can I use AI tools or commercial software?
As long as they don't disrupt the infrastructure, there are no restrictions on the tools you use,
including AI tools and commercial software. However, we strongly recommend using free and open-source
tools for the challenges.
Can I join if I'm not a Canadian student?
Unfortunately not this year. We’re sorry for the restriction. Since this is our very first CTF,
we’re limiting participation to Canadian high school, college, and university students only.
If everything runs smoothly, we plan to open it up to everyone next year!
